Our Programs

We offer a diverse range of engaging programs designed to support every aspect of your child’s development. Each program is thoughtfully crafted to spark curiosity, foster creativity, and promote physical, social, and cognitive growth. Our offerings include:

Yoga

Yoga classes for infants and toddlers support physical development, emotional regulation, social skills, and mindfulness while promoting flexibility, coordination, and calming routines. They are an excellent way to enhance well-being and bonding through gentle, structured movement.

Music and movement

Music and movement help babies and toddlers develop coordination, cognitive skills, and emotional expression. Kids enjoy fun activities like waving scarves, acting like animals, and playing instruments, promoting motor skills, social interaction, and sensory exploration.

Out door activity

Outdoor activities for infants and toddlers promote physical development, sensory stimulation, cognitive growth, social interaction, and emotional well-being, while also fostering creativity, confidence, and a connection to nature. In British Columbia (BC), the Child Care Licensing Regulation recommends that children in licensed daycare settings should have at least 60 minutes of outdoor play per day, weather permitting. Furthermore, bear in mind that for infant and toddler programs, it’s common practice to have shorter, more frequent outdoor sessions to accommodate their needs and attention spans. We usually split into smaller segments throughout the day.

Performance Art

We are thrilled to share that we are offering a Performance Art curriculum led by expert and professional teachers as an extension of our daycare programs. Please note that the Performance Art teacher is not a part of our regular daycare staff; they are a specialist coming from outside the facility once per week to deliver these exciting sessions. Performance Art is an incredible way to stimulate brain activity, enhance memory, and awaken children's imaginations. Through activities such as singing, dancing, and role-playing, children not only develop creativity but also build social, emotional, and cognitive skills in a fun and interactive environment. We are committed to providing enriching experiences that support the well-rounded development of every child.

Creative arts

At A Wave of Stars Childcare, our Creative Art Program encourages toddlers to explore their imagination with safe, hands-on activities, fostering creativity, motor skills, and self-expression through fun with colors, shapes, and textures.
